She made her entry into the adult video (AV) industry in 1984 with the video "3 Sisters Live Performance" for the company Boxland. She followed this with another video for Boxland, "Honban gāru anzu, chomechome sarechatta no Hashimoto Kyōko," in the same year. Hashimoto also appeared in the 1986 video "Sexy Video Club 16" produced by Cosmos Plan, an early AV studio. During the mid to late 1980s, she ventured into hardcore uncensored underground photobooks, commonly known as "urabon."
