Biography: Kek-huat Lau (Chinese: 廖克發) is a Malaysian documentary filmmaker based in Taiwan. He is known for discussing issues surrounding South East Asian history in his films. His five-hour long documentary, From Island to Island, won the Golden Horse Award for Best Documentary Feature and the Grand Prize at the Taipei Film Awards.
